Community resource specialist

We are here to guide individuals and families as they navigate the often complex world of disabilities, or diversabilities. Community Resource Specialists (CRS) offer the human connection aspect of our DiversabilityVillage resource website. When life feels overwhelming, we provide space for sharing stories as well as support accessing resources that are meaningful to unique family dynamics.

what is a Community resource specialist (crs)??

Community Resource Specialists are Traditional Health Workers (THW) certified through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). Our Lead CRS holds a graduate degree in mental health counseling, has over 30 years of human service experience including nearly 20 years of personal experience as a parent of children with diversabilities, and is certified as both a Family Support Specialist and a Community Health Worker through the Oregon Health Authority.
