Our Story

Diversability Resource Website is the vision of Diversability Inc. founder and Executive Director, Amanda Hamer. Throughout her years of working in social services and as a change agent in the diversability community, Amanda heard numerous stories from individuals, families and professionals struggling to know what resources were available, where to find them, and in many ways, just wanting to know where to start. Amanda began researching and meeting with members of her own village to create a platform that would organize and simplify access to the variety of excellent resources available to the diversability community.

Leveraging her extensive involvement in Central Oregon and her superpower of connecting people, Amanda assembled a diverse team of individuals including parents, professionals, agency providers, and others to begin the arduous process of building a digital resource tool. Together, we developed a resource website that is easy-to-use, beautifully designed and connects people affiliated (in one or more ways!) with diversabilities/disabilities to local resources.

DiversabilityVillage.com is becoming the go-to resource for our diversability community; a one-stop-shop linking the community to resources like service providers, housing, service eligibility, recreation, activities, support groups, and so much more!
